Joe Orlando CCC Player of the Week

BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College baseball team earned yet another individual honor in the Commonwealth Coast Conference's weekly report, this time as senior outfielder Joe Orlando (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) was awarded the CCC Player of the Week award in the Gulls 4-2 week.

Orlando, a Gloucester, Massachusetts native, batted .490 (9-for-20) with three doubles, two home runs, three stolen bases, six runs scored, and a staggering 13 RBI for the Blue and Green last week. Orlando's most impressive offensive output of the season came in a wild, 19-16 victory over CCC foe Salve Regina. The senior outfielder went 3-for-5 with seven RBI, including a grand slam and a two-run shot in the same inning (3rd) in the Endicott win.

The defending Commonwealth Coast Conference champions are currently situated in 4th place with an overall record of 13-15 and 9-6 in the CCC. The Gulls retake the diamond on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Boston, MA to square-off with the Wentworth Institute of Technology in CCC doubleheader. Game one of the twin bill is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
